KHCB – Q & A – November 19, 2020
The transcript contains the Questions received – parenthesis indicate where in the broadcast the question is asked :
– (04:05) – In the Bible, can “election” and “free will” coexist at the same time?
– (09:05) – In Revelation 5:13, who is John speaking of when he says “every creature in Heaven and on Earth and under the Earth and on the sea and all that is in them”?
– (12:45) – If for a number of years, friends of the opposite sex live together, no sexual relationship at all, is this a sin in the eyes of God? If yes, then why? Please give scriptures that address that.
– (15:12) – What is God’s perspective on going to church in these last days, when teaching is not sound, and some are watered down?
– (19:59) – I have a question about what defiles a man. It’s not what he eats, but what comes out of his mouth. And I was talking about Adam and Eve when they ate of the Tree of Good and Evil. The caller then goes on to ask if what they ate defiled them.
– (26:10) – In 1 Timothy 4, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils,”. Who are they talking about in the word “some”? Is it backsliders or is it people who claim that they are saved but are really not? My 2nd question is, how long do I talk to somebody about the good Word of God, about Jesus Christ, before I say that “that’s enough”? For a couple of months, I have been trying to speak to somebody about what Jesus has done to me. And sometimes he’s ok, but sometimes he goes back to doing things and not accepting Jesus yet. How long do I continue to do that?
– (37:05) – There is somewhere in the Bible where it says “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”. When do we go to the Judgement seat of Christ? Are you able to take us through the sequence of events?
– (43:40) – Galatians 1:8-9 “But should we, or an angel from Heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed.” I have a Son in Law that claims to be a 5 Point Calvinist and I also have close family members that are very involved with the New Apostolic Reformation. They sent their young people out to the church in Redding, California. How would those two Gospels relate to the Galatians verses? Also, think that I heard Pastor Woods preach in one of his messages that he doesn’t like to use the ABCs of Salvation that a lot of pastors use as an alter call. I would like if he can explain that to me.
– (53:12) – Please compare Hebrews 6:6 to 10:38 which speaks about “once saved, always saved” or can you fall away?
– (56:12) – If you were saved, did you have to be baptized or tithe? You just explained that in the previous call. All of that is of works, so you don’t have to answer this, you already did.
– (57:05) – Do you see a difference between being chosen for a purpose and being chosen for Salvation?
