Questions:
– (03:55) – I was wondering about 1 Cor 11:4 “Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. 5 But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is the same as having her head shaved.” Paul also tells women not to speak in church (1 Cor 14). Why does Paul say they can cover their head when he’s told them that they should not be preaching or teaching in the church?
– (08:17) – Reading thru Romans 11:28, I was having trouble understanding verse 28 “As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs,”. What are the enemies that he is speaking of? And why are they enemies? And immediately he talks about “they are loved ones”. And what is Zion?
– (11:53) – I had a question about a thorn in the flesh. I want to know is this for everybody or was just Paul the only one who had a thorn in the flesh?
– (14:55) – I had a question about Exodus 21:2 “If you buy a Hebrew servant, he is to serve you for six years. But in the seventh year, he shall go free, without paying anything.”. The caller notes that in various translations, the word servant is replaced with the word slave and wanted to know more specifics about why those particular words were used.
– (18:46) – Can you name any people who Jesus walked away from because of their unbelief or because they just weren’t going to accept Him? Why would Jesus walk away from them?
