Dr. McGowan, How are you?\u00a0 I'm going to get ahead of Dr. Woods\u2019 study on Acts here a little bit. With an Acts 16:16 to 18 question. Why was Paul so annoyed with the evil spirit saying that these men are bond servants of the most high are proclaiming to you the way of salvation? Was he annoyed because there was the girl was the evil spirit or like she was saying the right thing even though. It was an evil spirit. I guess so. I've been watching videos from Andy Woods that have been very blessed, very blessed to watch the videos of Bethany. In a way, to me, I just I have a question in terms of eternal security. If I'm on Titus 1:16,\u00a0 I'm reading from NASB. It says \u201cthey profess to know God or by their deeds, they deny him being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed<\/em><\/strong>\u201d. So I guess my question is, can that professing Christian, I guess in a way, if they are a professing Christian and they become carnal in a way and have bad deeds, can they deny God? I guess in a way, are they not, or in other words, lose their salvation because they're denying God by their bad deeds? I'm not sure. My question is the question.\r\n\r\n4 \u2013 (19:05) \u2013 Bless your heart, gentlemen. I saw this picture and it was real pretty and it was people greeting their loved ones in heaven. And I heard a pastor say that this was not the truth. I was wondering, will I be able to recognize and hold my loved ones when I get to heaven?\r\n\r\n5 \u2013 (22:07) \u2013 When Paul said \u201cto be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord\u201d, will we be asleep the whole time until the second coming of Christ?\r\n\r\n6 \u2013 (24:42) \u2013 Pastor, while we're waiting for our next caller, let me go back to our mailbox. We have a question coming from Second Thessalonians 2:3. And the question is, \u201cwill the ones committing apostasy be the children of God or the Church of Christ\u201d?\r\n\r\n7 \u2013 (28:19) \u2013 Hello. My question comes from the book of John from the Bread of Life. Jesus said, \u201cNo one can come to me unless the father who sent me draws him and I will raise him up at the last day\u201d. And later on he said, \u201cThis is why I told you no one can come to me unless the father who sent me enables him\u201d. What does he mean by that?\r\n\r\n8 \u2013 (35:49) \u2013 I was just listening to the caller that there was an explanation about the dead in Christ will rise and the Rapture. And so I was wondering if I could get one of you to give just a very simple explanation of what exactly does happen to the Christian when they die. And in other words, if it's before the Rapture, I just don't understand how the dead in Christ would be resurrected if they died before the Rapture. \u00a0Are they not in heaven already? And what happens to us when we pass away? If it's before the Rapture? And then the other thing, one other thing is. Well, actually, two,\u00a0 The caller was asking if we would recognize our loved ones and will we look like we do when we died?\u00a0 Will we go back to our look when we were 18 or (laughing). \u00a0And then also, is there a basis in the Bible for our pets coming with us? And so that's a whole lot to answer. I'm sorry, but I just do not understand the timeline of what happens when we die, where we go.\r\n\r\n9 \u2013 (42:45) \u2013 Um, so I've. I've got a question. Um, then perhaps you could, you know, I'm really looking for some advice for others.\u00a0 We just recently got a new pastor. He's been at our church for about six months. Really great guy. I really love him. Really dynamic preacher. \u00a0However, he has a tendency to use YouTube clips in his messages to make a certain point and whatnot. Sometimes they're really moving messages from other preachers and whatnot. But he likewise tends to show clips from secular movies and quotes from secular artists and rappers and whatnot. And it's unsettled my family and myself. Right? And we're just wondering what would be maybe a prudent way to discuss this with a brother without\u2026.maybe we don't want him to jump to conclusions.\u00a0 And have him think that we don't\u2026we're not really feeling them, if you will. We're not liking them. But the fact that he's bringing, if you will just Hollywood, I mean, there's just\u2026.it just really unsettles us just showing movie clips from certain movies from YouTube in the service during his message. How should we maybe move forward with that?\r\n\r\n10 \u2013 (47:52) \u2013 Yeah, I got a question regarding King Hezekiah\u2019s healing, referring to a 2nd Kings 20th chapter, 7th verse. Where Isaiah goes and tells King Hezekiah to take a lump of figs roots and apply to the wound. So I'm just wondering why did Isaiah say that and what's the purpose of that lump of figs. Plus did the lump of figs heal the wounds?\r\n\r\n11 \u2013 (51:35) \u2013 Yes, I was calling in reference to the lady talking about would she see her dog in heaven. Does those animals have a soul?\r\n\r\n12 \u2013 (53:10) \u2013 Yes, it's coming from Hebrews 12:2. It says, Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who, for the joy - the focus of the question is who for the joy that was set before him. And of course, the verse above, it ties us into looking unto Jesus who for the joy. My question is this\u2026.Jesus was God. Jesus had everything before he was incarnated. He there was nothing left for him to have. What in the world was the joy that caused him to endure the cross? Or he was God. He already had the whole universe. What was the joy that caused him to do what he did? That's my question.\r\n\r\n13 \u2013 (56:30) \u2013 Yes, I have a question from the Bible. Is Jesus come before the tribulation or after the tribulation? I'm a born-again believer. I'm also a Minister. \u00a0And my fianc\u00e9e, she's a Christian. So is my sister, my brother, they believe.\u00a0 But my supervisor\u2026they're looking for the Antichrist. She's interested in her gay marriage.
