It has nothing to do with what happened in Uvalde.\u00a0 I\u2019ve been grappling with this my entire Christian life.\u00a0 The reference is Roman 6:3, where it says that we have been baptized into the death of Christ.\u00a0\u00a0 And then, Colossians 3:3 says that you are dead and your life is hidden with Christ in God.\u00a0 So, those two seem to be theoretical - that we've been baptized into the death of Christ.\u00a0\u00a0 But in 2nd Corinthians 5:14, it says \u201cFor the love of Christ constrains us because we let us judge that if one died for all, then we're all dead.\u00a0 So my question is how can we be dead in Christ on a daily basis?\u00a0 That\u2019s the question. Thank you.\r\n\r\n4 \u2013 (15:25) \u2013 My question comes out of John 14:12 where He said \u201cVery truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13\u00a0<\/sup>And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14\u00a0<\/sup>You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.\u201d\u00a0 Some people believe that Christians are able to do greater works or the same works that Jesus did like raising people from the dead.\u00a0 I say that the greater works that he is referring to is spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.\r\n\r\n5 \u2013 (19:20) \u2013 Good evening y\u2019all.\u00a0 Are there apostles today?\u00a0 Do they exist in our modern era?\u00a0 I understand Acts 1:21 talks about the requisites to be an Apostle \u2013 you would have to see Jesus Christ resurrected.\u00a0 I was wondering was Barnabas a part of the 12 Apostles?\r\n\r\n6 \u2013 (23:10) \u2013 My question is \u2013 where does leprosy come from?\u00a0 Is it a sex sin dealing with incest?\u00a0 What sin is it (from)?\r\n\r\n7 \u2013 (24:42) \u2013 (From emails) - I've heard two scenarios of what happens to the unsaved at the end.\u00a0 One says that all unbelievers will be judged and thrown into the Lake of Fire for the rest of Eternity.\u00a0 And then they quote Revelation 20 verses 11 through 15.\u00a0 And then continue - they say Christ says something to this effect in the gospels - Matthew 5:22 through 23, among others.\u00a0 Yet others say that only Satan and the angels will be thrown into it (meaning the Lake of Fire) and the unbelievers will be judged but then cease to exist - Body Soul and Spirit. \u00a0(I guess they're talking about annihilation there). \u00a0They referred to the scripture that says the unsaved will die the second death or that they will perish.\u00a0 And then, they go on to say scripture says that the unsaved will live for the rest of eternity in Heaven, but doesn't seem to clarify if all Souls are immortal. So, they would like some clarification on that.\r\n\r\n8 \u2013 (34:10) \u2013 First of all I\u2019d like to thank you for all the wonderful things you do at Sugar Land Bible Church. It\u2019s just wonderful.\u00a0 My question starts out in Revelation 21 and verse 7 - it says \u201che that overcometh shall inherit all things and I will be his God and he shall be my son, but the fearful and unbelieving and the abominable and murderers and whoremongers and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death\u201d.\u00a0 And I see the context of this chapter is the New Heavens and the New Earth. But then when I turn over to chapter 22 in Revelation and verse 14, it says \u201cBlessed are they that do His commandments that they may have right to the Tree of Life and may enter in through the gates into the city\u201d.\u00a0 \u00a0Verse 15 \u2013 \u201cfor without are dogs and sorcerers and whoremongers and murderers and idolaters and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie\u201d.\u00a0 My question - who are these people in verse 15 and where are they? Where do they come from?\r\n\r\n9 \u2013 (38:30) \u2013 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Good evening.\u00a0 I apologize for not knowing the scripture, but I think you Pastors might know the scripture.\u00a0 It\u2019s concerning the Sabbath day.\u00a0 I talked to a friend of mine and I said the Sabbath Day says you should not buy or sell or kindle a fire or do any servile work on the Sabbath Day.\u00a0 And the commandment is to honor - remember the Sabbath Day to keep it Holy.\u00a0 So my question is, as Christians, are we supposed to do that today?\u00a0 Can you speak on that for me?\r\n\r\n10 \u2013 (41:45) \u2013 I was wondering what the early church thought of Sola Scriptura?\r\n\r\n11 \u2013 (43:10) \u2013 Dr. Woods, I called in a while back.\u00a0 I was in the Book of Mark at the very end of chapter 16 where I think it's a textual criticism or something where they leave out verses 9 through 20.\u00a0 I was just wondering.\u00a0 I think you said it was because it wasn't in the original text.\u00a0 But I am just wondering, and by all means, I don't believe that the word of God is inerrant, so you know you can throw that out the door.\u00a0 I'm just wondering who was responsible for adding that, those verses 9 through 20 into the scriptures where it kind of helps me understand how things transpired.\r\n\r\n12 \u2013 (48:45) \u2013 Hello Pastor, great to hear from you again. What is the significance of the order of Melchizedek?\u00a0 I know it can be a pretty deep topic. But why is it important that Christ is known as the Priest of the order of Melchizedek?\u00a0 I know you get into the election of the priests and I guess that's what I'm curious about.\u00a0 Why is it important that he's known as that?\r\n\r\n13 \u2013 (51:59) \u2013 Dr. Woods, I hope everything is going well with you.\u00a0 One thing that I would like you to explain and go over.\u00a0\u00a0 That is that the New Testament was written with a whole lot of words.\u00a0 They turned around and condensed it.\u00a0 And when they condensed it, they didn't put in as many words.\u00a0 Now, when you go back and look at it \u2013 take the word \u201cperfect\u201d - prime example. You go back and look at it.\u00a0 It did not mean what we think it means.\u00a0 It had a total different meaning to it.\u00a0 And I run into trouble with a lot of people trying to understand that.\u00a0 And also, when you start going back in \u2013 secret things belong to God. He gives us enough things to worry about. There\u2019s enough in here written for me to worry about.\u00a0 If I just get some of these accomplished, I\u2019ll be doing great.\u00a0 Thank you, sir.\r\n\r\n14 \u2013 (55:20) \u2013 Oh yes, good evening.\u00a0 My question is and you kind of touched base on it earlier and I was trying to run parallel to it.\u00a0 I know the Word of God says that those to be absent in the body is present with the Lord.\u00a0 And then, in the Book of Revelation we read about where, you know, the dead in Christ shall rise first. I guess that\u2019s where I am having a little (trouble) understanding.
