{"id":20588,"date":"2022-02-19T11:16:12","date_gmt":"2022-02-19T17:16:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/slbc.org\/?post_type=sermon&p=20588"},"modified":"2022-02-19T11:22:48","modified_gmt":"2022-02-19T17:22:48","slug":"khcb-broadcast-pastors-q-a-february-17-2022","status":"publish","type":"sermon","link":"https:\/\/slbc.org\/es\/sermon\/khcb-broadcast-pastors-q-a-february-17-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"KHCB Broadcast – Pastor’s Q & A – February 17, 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","book":[146],"series_event":[431],"sermon_service_type":[],"speaker":[6],"class_list":["post-20588","sermon","type-sermon","status-publish","hentry","book-none","series_event-khcb-radio","speaker-dr-andy-woods","no-post-thumbnail"],"acf":{"sermon_title":"KHCB Broadcast - Pastor's Q & A - February 17, 2022","sermon_date":"20220217","sermon_month":"02","sermon_year":"2022","sermon_notes":"","sermon_slides":"","sermon_mp3":20589,"sermon_id":"219221636123320","series_or_event":431,"service_type":false,"speaker":6,"books_of_the_bible":146,"chapter_and_verse":"","sermon_transcript":"KHCB \u2013 Q & A \u2013 February 17, 2022<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThe transcript contains the Questions received \u2013 parenthesis indicate where in the broadcast the question is asked :<\/strong>\r\n\r\nQuestions\r\n\r\n1 \u2013 (02:35) \u2013 Can you please speak on Revelation on 2:17?\r\n\r\n2 \u2013 (06:32) \u2013 Regarding the terminology of \u201cPastor\u201d, the individual is asking about the use of \u201cPastor\u201d.\u00a0 Some people are talking about \u201cPastor of Missions\u201d and \u201cPastor of Music\u201d, so they would like some clarification on what the \u201cPastor\u201d means.\r\n\r\n3 \u2013 (10:48) \u2013 Does scripture provide us a way to be certain that God is speaking to us?\u00a0 In other words, that we are not listening to the enemy or our own pride?\u00a0 And then, how may one participate in a conversation with God?\u00a0\u00a0 And they ask how Paul could be a Jew and at the same time a Roman citizen?\r\n\r\n4 \u2013 (15:45) \u2013 Coming from Romans 7:6 to start with and then back up to verse 4 \u2013 verse 6 says \u201c6\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.\u201d\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>And verse 4 says \u201c4\u00a0<\/sup>Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.\u201d <\/strong>My understanding is that the law represents our 1st<\/sup> husband.\u00a0 Since us Christians have been married to Jesus Christ, if we go back to our old husband and start trying to keep the law, are we committing \u201cspiritual adultery\u201d?\r\n\r\n5 \u2013 (19:15) \u2013 Concerning Romans 9:22 where it talks about God creating vessels of wrath prepared for destruction.\u00a0 I would like to hear Andy\u2019s interpretation of that verse.\u00a0 A lot of people interpret that God has predestined some people to Hell and some people to Heaven.\r\n\r\n6 \u2013 (23:13) \u2013 The question of \u201cpredestination\u201d has come up several times among friends of mine where we have heard people say that they appeared to be in the Lamb\u2019s Book of Life before they even heard the name Jesus Christ.\u00a0 That could be a form of blasphemy if you\u2019re not in agreement with predestination because there are plenty of verses such as the one where Christ said \u201cI am the way, the truth and the life.\u00a0 No man comes to the Father but by me\u201d.\u00a0 So if we have people out there claiming to be in the Lamb\u2019s Book of Life before they were born, how do they justify saying something like that?\u00a0 And, is this a form of blasphemy?\u00a0 Where does the truth lie in predestination?\r\n\r\n7 \u2013 (27:15) \u2013 Dr. Woods, let me ask you, because I taught this for many years and if I was wrong then I need to admit that.\u00a0 I always taught, because I was taught, and I believe that everybody that was born, their name was in the Lamb\u2019s Book of Life \u2013 everybody. Now what happened is that if you die prior<\/u> to accepting Jesus, your name could be taken out of the Lamb\u2019s Book of Life.\u00a0 Because if you don\u2019t interpret it like that what you\u2019re saying is that you can lose your Salvation.\r\n\r\n8 \u2013 (35:33) \u2013 I\u2019m a real strong dispensationalist and when you understand the dispensations the way they are in the Bible, I see so many times we take the Bible and we cross dispensations over.\u00a0 For example, the wedding feast of Cana of Galilee. It was more about a dispensation than it was anything.\u00a0 Because what He was doing, was coming from Law to Grace.\u00a0 And I understand that because under the law, the water was turned into blood.\u00a0 Under the new dispensation under grace, the water was turned to wine.\u00a0 It\u2019s almost like these are things that are very, very simple and I\u2019m just wondering how are we missing it?\r\n\r\n9 \u2013 (39:36) \u2013 Is every Christian a missionary?\u00a0 If so, what do you call someone who surrenders to move abroad and works cross-culturally?\r\n\r\n10 \u2013 (40:54) \u2013 I know that a lot of people are talking about the Second Coming and it\u2019s really close.\u00a0 But I have been reading and Israel is [unintelligible] in the Second Coming. So, what my question is, I\u2019ve been trying to understand about the Seven Churches.\u00a0 Can you talk about that?\r\n\r\n11 \u2013 (45:23) \u2013 I\u2019d like to get an answer on Matthew 25:41b \u2013 concerning the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels, did God prepare the Hell when He created the world? Or did He create it later on?\r\n\r\n12 \u2013 (48:15) \u2013 When a saved person dies, does the spirit go directly to God?\u00a0 Then at the time of resurrection to be judged, does the spirit return to the body?\u00a0 Could you please clarify the sequence of these events?\r\n\r\n13 \u2013 (51:15) \u2013 What made people crucify Jesus after they had seen all the miracles that He did and everything that He did was from God?\u00a0 And the people saw it with their eyes and yet they crucified Him.\u00a0 Was it ignorance of the people or was it just not faith?\u00a0 What was it that they did such a horrible death or was it just foretold that that\u2019s how he was to be crucified?\u00a0 Can you please explain that?\r\n\r\n14 \u2013 (55:19) \u2013 I ran into a guy the other day who believed that not many people would go to Heaven.\u00a0 And it was in direct - diametrically opposed to my concept of grace \u2013 the comprehensive nature of grace, the freedom of grace.\u00a0 And then you take 1 Timothy 2:4 which talks about God wanting all to be saved and come to the knowledge of truth.\u00a0 And then you take the mustard seed of faith that it takes in Matthew 17:20.\u00a0 What do you make of Matthew 7:13-14 where it talks about the wide gate and the narrow gate where that is the argument for few people going to Heaven?\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n ","series_sermon_number":""},"aioseo_notices":[],"aioseo_head":"\n\t\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t
